Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: January 15, 2025

1. Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sovnta Hotels and Resorts ("Sovnta," "we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the Sovnta website, mobile applications, and services, including but not limited to the booking of hotel accommodations.

By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Reservations

By making a reservation with Sovnta, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age, have legal capacity to enter into contracts, and will be present at check-in.

All reservations are subject to availability. A reservation is confirmed only after you receive a confirmation email from us containing a reservation number.

We reserve the right to refuse any reservation request in our sole discretion.

2.1 Guaranteed Reservations

To guarantee your reservation, a valid credit card and, in some cases, a deposit may be required at the time of booking. For certain rates and promotions, full pre-payment may be required.

2.2 Group Reservations

Reservations for more than 5 rooms are considered group bookings and are subject to separate terms and conditions. Please contact our sales department for group reservations.

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies vary by hotel, rate type, and dates of stay. The specific cancellation policy applicable to your reservation will be displayed during the booking process and in your confirmation email.

3.1 Standard Cancellation

Generally, reservations must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the local check-in time (as specified in your reservation confirmation) on the arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee, which could be up to the full cost of the stay.

3.2 Non-Refundable Reservations

Some rates are designated as "non-refundable." These reservations cannot be cancelled or modified without forfeiture of the entire amount paid.

3.3 Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure (such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, government actions, or other events beyond our reasonable control), modified cancellation policies may apply at our discretion.

4. Check-in & Check-out

4.1 Standard Times

Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM, and standard check-out time is 12:00 PM local hotel time, unless otherwise specified. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee but cannot be guaranteed in advance.

4.2 Identification Requirements

All guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in. International guests must present a valid passport. The name on the ID must match the name on the reservation.

4.3 Credit Card Authorization

A credit card authorization will be required at check-in for incidental charges, even if your room is prepaid. The authorization amount varies by property and length of stay.

5. Payment

5.1 Accepted Methods

We accept major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Some properties may also accept debit cards, cash, or other payment methods. Digital payment methods may be available at select properties.

5.2 Charges and Fees

In addition to the room rate, you may be charged for:

  • Resort fees or destination fees
  • Local taxes and service charges
  • Incidental charges for services used during your stay
  • Damage to hotel property

5.3 Currency

All rates are quoted and charged in the local currency of the hotel. If you pay with a credit card in a different currency, your card issuer may charge a foreign transaction fee and apply an exchange rate, which is beyond our control.

6. Guest Conduct

All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not disturb other guests or interfere with the operation of the hotel. We reserve the right to refuse service or accommodation, or to remove a person from the hotel premises without refund if, in our sole judgment, the guest's conduct is unacceptable.

6.1 Hotel Policies

Guests must comply with all hotel policies, which may include but are not limited to:

  • No smoking in designated non-smoking areas
  • No unregistered guests in rooms after certain hours
  • Quiet hours in guest room areas
  • Proper attire in public areas
  • Pet policies (where applicable)
  • Pool and amenity usage guidelines

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sovnta and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Cost of substitute services
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Service interruptions
  • Computer viruses or other harmful components

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7.1 Personal Property

We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal property left in guest rooms or public areas, except as provided by applicable laws governing innkeepers' liability.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and applications, including text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of Sovnta or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or republish any materials from our services without our prior written consent.

9. Disputes

9.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Sovnta corporate headquarters is located, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

9.2 Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall first be resolved through good faith negotiations. If such efforts fail, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

9.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any proceedings to resolve disputes will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The updated version will be effective as of the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services after the posting of modified Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any changes. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you should discontinue your use of our services.
